Update the Gold Farming Page??

It's rather obvious that the Gold Farming page hasn't been updated for quite a while. Some of the methods for easy money are now defunct (as some monsters/quests have been nerfed), and there are probably new, better quests to farm that most people aren't aware of. (Myself included.) New Grouping for Weapons

To make it easier to see where you stand in the game (and for sheer convenience since I've tried finding a chart like this for some time), I think it would be nice if we had a break down of Best Weapon By Element Per Level. Like, a chart listing the Best Light Weapon at Level 3, as well as the Best Fire Weapon at Level 3, and Best Water Weapon at level 3, etc., etc. Now, I know this would be quite an endeavor. Honestly, it'll be an outright pain in the behind. But, it'll be EXTREMELY beneficial in the long run. Maybe a version for both DA holders and Non-DA holders? And, break it down as the best weapon obtainable at that level and all levels prior. Like, some people have listed weaker weapons on, say, level 12 than a weapon that can be bought at Level 10. (On the Strongest Weapon Per Level chart.) So, yeah. If you can follow what I mean, I think this would be a great thing to have around. ShadowDragoonFTW 15:33, 14 July 2009 (UTC)

  • There is a guide for that on the forums [1]

Section separating Wings and Capes

There should be a section separating the Wings from the capes and not just a page of all f them divided into elements

  • Wings and capes occupy the same slot. Why would you want separate categories for them? That's... pointless. ShadowDragoonFTW 15:34, 14 July 2009 (UTC)
  • It would help people narrow down their searching more easily -- for example, if you were looking for wings to buy/get, you could go to a page with only wings, not just a whole slew of capes mushed in with them. --Leah 22:02, 1 September 2009 (UTC)

best of the best

There should be a best of the best page for overall weapons rare or not, DC or not, DA or not cuz some people just want to know if they have the best weapons such as Naner Seven because its rare but i may have it and not know its the best nature type weapon and sell it. Akkarin the defender

Thorn's Thirst, Cutting Nettle and Briarstaff but Yulgar's Items has Crit+4. --Jayniel11chiyo

Walkthrough

Tips and Tricks

  • There should be tips and tricks section on dfwiki --Xrsal

Walkthrough

  • you should make a quest walkthrough.--zackard88
  • You mean a big list of all the storyline quests in the game, and in which order they were released/supposed to be played? I rather like this idea... ShadowDragoonFTW 15:52, 14 July 2009 (UTC)
  • Yeah, that does sound really awesome. -IslandPalm

Stats

  • There should be a page with suggestions on stat training for both baby dragons and mages/rouges/warriors --User:scary witch 23 june 2007

Teams

  • there should also be a page describing the best teams for certain quests and what style of fighting to use. i.e whether to try to immobilize it, use special powers et cetera --scarry witch 23 june 2007
    • Shouldn't that just go under the page with said boss/quest/whatever as a strategy for said boss/quest/whatever? Why would you want an entirely separate page for it?ShadowDragoonFTW 15:37, 14 July 2009 (UTC)

Suggested Weapons

  • I think it would be beneficial if someone added a suggested weapons section to each quest for DA and non-DA. I would be glad to help. Also there is a great guide on the DF forums which tells everything you need to know about every strategy that you will need in battle, quests, and farming, its called DF Ultimate Strategy Guide and is located here, am I just allowed to copy it or I dunno?? ~~Aussie_Dude~~
  • You CAN just copy it... that is, if you were a PLAGIARIZER!! But, as for "suggested weapon" for each quest, I think that's kinda pointless. There are a lot of quests where monsters have different weaknesses than other monsters in the same quest. I think the general consensus is "No single weapon can win every fight, so bring along a variety." I mean, that IS why we have all that inventory space, isn't it? ShadowDragoonFTW 15:51, 14 July 2009 (UTC)

Walkthrough

  • Maybe we could put up a walkthrough for each of the main classes (Mage, Rogue, and Warrior.) As in, what are the best quests and items for your particular class, and what are the best ways to get them, starting from Level One all the way to Level 40. It would have to be in DA and non-DA 'flavors' though. (I'd do the non-DA mage.) RavenQueen 18:14, 14 January 2008 (EST)

Attacks

  • We can make a new guide like in the official DF Wikia (at BattleOn! forums), which put the monster's attacks. I have copied it to Heart of Odium.

Cross-Referencing

  • I would like to suggest a more defined listing system for the weapons and armor pages. For Weapons, it's great that there's listings by Level, Element and DPT, but what about combinations of two, or all three in the order of choice? What I mean by this is that after I sort the lists by Level, I should be able to further sort THAT list by Element, or DPT, so that I can find out all the level 15 Nature weapons, for example. For Armor, in addition to the current listing by element, it would be good to also list them by level, as with the system detailed for weapons above, as well as listing by stat bonuses, perhaps, so people who need that +3 STR helmets can find them easier. I'm not sure how viable this system is under the current system, but it would help greatly in cross referencing specifics so that it's indefinitely easier to find that particular thing you're looking for rather than manually digging through dozens of individual pages. KitsuneRisu 00:13, 17 March 2008 (EDT)
  • I agree with your idea, it can be difficult for me to find, say, a fire sword that is between the levels of 25-30. I would end up just clicking all of the fire swords until I find what I want. But, I personally don't know how to change this system. Noble fauf
  • I think that is a good idea but it would take alot of time because of separating and then linking to pages together. What I mean is if someone wanted to do it. it would take alot of time. plus you have to add on the new weapons and armor too. and sometimes it takes awhile for the info for new things to be put on. I am not saying it is a bad idea I just think it would take some time you have to make new pages and all that. Angel2836

Details

  • I'd like to create lists for more details about weapons, like List of Poison Weapons or List of Disease Items. What do you think?

Juan Cruz 09:32, 3 May 2008 (EDT)

  • Don't we have that already? Blazefire123 22:16, 25 June 2008 (EST)

Preview Images

  • Why are we not using the preview image of weapons more often. It gives a much better image than the one equipped at players (except staffs which is too long for the preview)
  • Because in-game images display a weapons true in-game form, not just what the weapon looks like on its own. --Image:Signature.PNGJayzara 00:47, 11 August 2008 (UTC)

Scaled tables

  • Scaled monster tables: Stop making those |||| tables and use || instead, it gives a much better overview

Monster Difficulty

Ultra 1234567890 14:07, 11 July 2008 (UTC)

Because the difficulty of a quest or monster depends on your level, the class you're using, the weapon you wield and all those things. It's something we would never ALL agree what the difficulty should be for a particular monster.

For example: I would place HuffPuff never higher then 4/10.

Best of the Best armor

  • There should be a Best of the Best for weapons and armor for each level so that when you gain a new level you can go see what armor is that best for u at that level. user: krispkream
  • I have been thinking that for a long time, and I have to agree with one being made! -Dante
  • I think this is a good idea, also. The only real problem I see would be the lack of armors in some categories. I.e., there aren't exactly a TON of capes out there... ShadowDragoonFTW 15:41, 14 July 2009 (UTC)

Widget

  • Could we manage a new widget that completes each search (like Wikipedia, when you write "Mortal Kombat" it completes by opening a new box saying "MK Deception"...)

JR 00:06, 22 July 2008 (UTC)

Specifications

  • We should make more specific classifications like water swords level 29.Or just make the categories sorted by level, element and kind of weapon.-(Facu 748)
We've already done that. Just too specifically. Image:BlackDA.PNG Chaos "77" DeathKnight 05:10, 27 July 2008 (UTC)

New Releases

People

  • I say we should get a recored of all the people playing that we can! - Blllaaaaaaaa

I think you should post which armor is best for DA and non DA for each quest.

Geared Helm

um... we need to add the Geared Helm to this. It comes from Yix's quest Popguns. It isn't anywhere at all on this site.

Main Page not protected

I would like the Main Page were not protected (all you can bid). Posted by DIL99.

  • I agree. Also, it would be nice if it was updated the day that something came out, the 2009 Mogloween event just went live and I'm not sure what to do after I get some items. -IslandPalm

What are we doing?!

I have been using this wiki for a few months now, while playing DragonFable. At first, I was happy to see there is a wiki for this game, but, I am sorry to say, this wiki isn't a very good one. I just created an account so I could improve (edit) pages - and be able to write this message. (Just wondering... doesn't "wiki" mean anyone can edit it? Without having to solve sums to be able to edit?)

This wiki certainly has a lot of info, but I am missing the articles with explainations, walkthrough, overall text that's written by a user instead of just copied from the game.

I mean just take a look at this page: Brilliant blinding light of destiny. I would not call this a wiki page... this is just a collection of data. In my (not so) humble opinion, weapon & equipment pages should at least have some wiki markup, a preview picture, a picture of someone wearing the weapon, pro's and con's, etc.

Well I'd be happy to see your responses! Please leave a comment. - Boulder 16:01, 25 May 2009 (UTC)

While I understand your point here, the fact is that the reason they don't have too much of information, is that if there were pros and cons (which weapons don't too much have) would end up in an editing wars between user (Ppl would say that something suck because they are low level or something, which is not true or a person with an character at that level, and ppl changing them saying they are the best/worst weapons because they don't like them theirselfes,, and it would also ending having biased opinions, and opinions are not tolerated in wikis). Now, about that page you linked us to, has a wrong name and thus was made another article with the same name, just with each exact capitals for it, resulting in this Brilliant Blinding Light of Destiny, and because ppl see these "wrong pages" it's good we see them, because then we can reroute them to the correct pages. -Baron Dante

  • Isn't there a way to make the search function turn all letters into caps or lowercase to avoid this problem? I.E., if every time you search for "briLliaNt BlInDing light oF destINY", it changes it into "BRILLIANT BLINDING LIGHT OF DESTINY", you'll always go to the same page, no matter what you choose to capitalize or not.
